WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella who is a former three times WWE Divas Champion recently talked about why she felt like being the most hated person in wrestling on the internet and how much she felt disgusted about it.
Nikki Bella started her professional wrestling career back in 2007 along with her twin sister Brie Bella at the Florida Championship Wrestling which was the Development Territory of WWE back in that time. Both of them got promoted on to the main roster in only one year time.
Nikki Bella On Feeling Like Being The Most Hated Person In Wrestling
At first, it was Brie Bella who made her main roster debut as a solo star. In only a number of months time they started working together every team at first. But soon Nikki turned heel and they had a feud with each other. The first feud between the Bella Twins is not much remembered by the WWE fans anymore.
The Bella Twins became quite famous among the female wrestling fans about their professional wrestling career but they failed to attract the hardcore professional wrestling fans back in that time. In 2012 both of them got released from WWE and they went to the independent circuit.
In only one year time they made their return to WWE once again and this was the first time they started to get some recognition from the WWE fans. Once again they were working as a tag team. This time they were much more improved and fans were liking them more than they attracted them on their previous run.
The most important angle between the duo came in between 2014. It was the SummerSlam pay per view event of the mentioned year. Brie Bella Stephanie Mcmahon in a one on one match. Nikki between her own sister in this match leading Stephanie Mcmahon to a victory.
This is the second time the sisters feuded each other but this one is mostly remembered by the fans. This heel turn of Nikki also mark the beginning of her individual success. She became the longest reigning Divas champion in WWE history. In 2018, both of them retired from Professional wrestling. WWE inducted them into the Hall Of Fame in class of 2020.

“Even when it comes to the wrestling industry, I’m the most hated person online. There was literally an article written about it two weeks ago. It is true, I’m the most hated person in the wrestling industry, and it’s so mind-blowing because I’m probably one of the nicest. Beyond that, I am hated for being so misunderstood.
“If I stick up for the women, I’m hated. If I stick up for myself, I’m hated. The thing that has always been mind-blowing is, I’ve never claimed to be the best wrestler. For some reason, me wrestling and showing passion and love, they hate me for it. It’s like I’m not allowed to be passionate or have love for it.
“In every industry, there’s an MVP, there’s a champ, there’s the best. In ours, you don’t have to be the best wrestler to be the most popular. I think a lot of people didn’t like my popularity. We get dragged for a lot of stuff. Why should my passion and love be taken away or why should I be hated for it?
“I love the business so much and I loved being in the ring so much. I never claimed to be the best, and people dragged me as if I’m out there saying, ‘no one can beat me.’ Yes, I am the longest-reigning divas champion in history, that’ll never change. It’s not like we were in the Olympics and I got there and won it.”
