Since she returned to in-ring action during the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match in January of last year, one more WWE run is expected for Brie and Nikki Bella. They have previously announced retirements only to tease more matches in the WWE as the etch of wrestling hardly goes away.
The two have spoken about coming back at some point to get a chance at the Women’s Tag Team Championships as they never had the chance to fight for it during their tenure as active roster members. Furthermore, Nikki Bella also mentioned in previous interviews about facing someone like Bianca Belair if and when she comes back inside the squared circle.

Without a doubt, the elder Bella is one of the trailblazers of the WWE Women’s Division and she can dream of having top matches with current cornerstone figures. However, things weren’t always this smooth for her in the WWE especially considering that she wasn’t coming from a wrestling background.

Nikki Bella kicked Natalya in a wrong place during a match
During her early days on the WWE main roster, Natalya Neidhart competed in a match with Nikki Bella when WWE Divas division was in full force. That match took place at a SmackDown live event where the latter ended up hitting her opponent in an inappropriate way. In the Bella Twins’ autobiography Incomparable, Nikki Bella detailed on the actual incident and how things went wrong against The Queen of Harts.
“I’ll never forget my first singles match with Nattie soon after we got up to the main roster. I did a Lou Thesz press, which is a jumping straddle, and we accidentally hit heads so hard I totally lost my bearings. I just spaced, like a deer in headlights,” Nikki Bella stated.
“We got up and then just stood there, staring at each other until I panicked and kicked her in the v*gina, just because I knew I had to do something. You could hear the groans ricocheting throughout the stands as they felt her pain.”
Nikki Bella had won that match but after walking backstage after the match, the former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon pulled her aside and issued her a warning for kicking Nattie in a position that was not allowed,
“When I got backstage, Vince pulled me aside and said, ‘We don’t kick girls like that here.’ Fortunately, Nattie could not have been nicer about it, and we still laugh about it today,”
Moving on, Nikki Bella had a successful career in the WWE by winning the Divas Championship twice. She also entered the WWE Hall of Fame, along with her twin sister Brie as part of the 2020 class.
