WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker went through his latest title defense at NXT Vengeance Day 2023 premium live event. After a hellacious battle under a No-DQ environment, he remained successful. Plus, after the title defense, he also met the next target coming after the coveted title of the WWE’s developmental brand.
Bron Breakker defeated Grayson Waller to retain his WWE NXT Championship in the Steel Cage Match at NXT Vengeance Day 2023. The match in the main event capacity started outside of the ring via a sneak attack from Waller before Bron could even make his entry into the cage.

Bron capitalized after a tough fight
Bron eventually tossed him into the ring and gained the advantage in the early going until Waller cut him with a drop kick off the middle rope and then a leg drop off the top rope. Waller also low-blowed to him and delivered a Stunner but Bron kicked out of it. Bron then made his comeback and hit a superplex off the top rope before hitting two Spears on Waller to pick up the win on NXT Vengeance Day 2023.
After the match, Carmelo Hayes appeared on the ramp, pointing at Breakker which was an indication that he’s coming after the title held by Bron. A staredown between these two sent NXT Vengeance Day 2023 off the air.

More title defenses went down at NXT Vengeance Day 2023
Apart from this title match, a number of other titles were also on the line at NXT Vengeance Day 2023. Prior to the main event of the first 2023 WWE NXT premium live event, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez successfully defended her title in a triple threat match against Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction.
Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (c) to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day. Also, at NXT Vengeance Day 2023, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) defended the NXT Tag Team Titles against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson), Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang), and Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson in a Fatal 4-Way match but they eventually failed to retain as Gallus became new champions.
In the opening match of NXT Vengeance Day 2023, Wes Lee (c) defeated Dijak to retain his North American Title. Also in a major attraction, Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) defeated Apollo Crews in a Two-Out-Of-Three-Falls Match after a shocking return of Commander Azeez.
