The next pay-per-view event from WWE right after Royal Rumble will be NXT Vengeance Day 2023 in early February. With this event, WWE’s third brand will start touring even beyond their friendly zone of Florida for the first time since the COVID pandemic. Builds for the event have already begun via a couple of announcements, last week. Now, one more championship match has been added to the card.
NXT Tag Team Championships will be on the line at the NXT Vengeance Day 2023 event as the champions The New Day – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will be defending their titles against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) and Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) in a triple threat tag team match.

This is the second triple threat match announced from NXT Vengeance Day 2023 since the NXT Women’s Title will also be on the line in the same capacity. Pretty Deadly lost the NXT Tag Team Championships to The New Day at NXT Deadline in December.

Since then, the feud between the two teams has been going on with Gallus recently joining in following their return to NXT programming. Last night, the three teams featured in a confrontation segment that led to a brawl. After the teams were separated by the WWE Officials, the match announcement came.
After winning the tag titles at Deadline, The New Day became the third-ever Tag Team Triple Crown Champions in WWE history. They’re the first team to have ever achieved the Triple Crown tag by winning the NXT Tag Team Championships. The first two teams to complete the Triple Crown are The Revival (now known as FTR in AEW) and The Street Profits. Apart from the NXT title win, Triple Crown winners had to capture Raw and Smackdown tag titles, as well.
