New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned last night at NXT Vengeance Day 2023 premium live event. The duo who were locking horns even a month ago have become allies all of a sudden and now they can refer to themselves as champions after the latest concluded pay-per-view from the NXT brand.
The lineup from NXT Vengeance Day 2023 implies that Kiana James and Fallon Henley defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team champions. The finish saw James kicking Chance out of a top rope move after which Henley rolled up Carter while James held Carter’s feet so that couldn’t kick out of the referee’s three counts.

As a result, the new alliance of James and Henley have become have captured gold at NXT Vengeance Day 2023. Before dropping the gold, Chance and Carter held the titles since the August 2, 2022 episode of NXT.

On that night, they won the Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match to win the then-vacant titles. The match also featured Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of The Toxic Attraction, Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon, and Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. Also, at NXT Vengeance Day 2023, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) defended the NXT Tag Team Titles against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson), Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang), and Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson in a Fatal 4-Way match but they eventually failed to retain as Gallus became new champions.
