Being one of the most popular superstars of the modern generation, it was hard for the WWE Universe to see Paige leaving in-ring action. After spending time on the main roster, barely for four years, she was forced to move on to non-physical capacity for not getting medically cleared by the WWE doctors.
At the age of just 25, Paige had to hang up her pro wrestling boots after getting her neck injured, in a house show in New York. She then became the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown and many believed that she excelled in that role.

Then she was with the WWE in other roles before her contract ran over, earlier this year. Many fans expect her to land in another company, preferably AEW. But that may not be happening, soon.
Top AEW Superstar Britt Baker called her out for a match in recent times but nothing positive has been noted regarding the insertion of Paige to the AEW roster. While speaking during her Turning The Page stage show at Starrcast V, Paige clarified the rumors by spilling out that she has no intention of joining AEW, anytime soon.

Paige is currently penning down a book after leaving WWE
“I’m in the middle of writing a book right now, which I’m really excited about. We got a book, it’s going to be another year before it officially comes out. We’re in the middle of writing that. We’re doing other things, but I’m not allowed to say anything right now. It’s non-wrestling related, sorry guys,” Paige added.
“I’m not going to be going to AEW anytime soon. AEW seems great. I love AEW. I would love to face Britt Baker one day if the time is right, that would be awesome. All my friends are there now.”
A few months ago, Paige, the first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion announced that she would be parting ways with WWE as her deal with the company concludes. WWE opted not to re-sign her, possibly since she’s yet to be medically cleared to compete. She offered an emotional letter to WWE on the last day of her contract and thereby became a free agent.
Paige, now going by her real name of Saraya Knight is genuinely excited to see her journey following WWE. Going by her comments, AEW won’t be a part of it. So, it remains to be seen where the pioneer female wrestler will end up next.
