Cody Rhodes has been a top babyface figure on WWE Raw since making a monumental comeback to WWE at Wrestlemania 38. Being the son of Old School WWF/NWA Legend ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes, he is carrying the family legacy and there’s hope that he will overdeliver to the expectations, someday.

Unfortunately, WWE Universe can’t see him on TV, as of now since he’s on an injury hiatus. Cody Rhodes is out of action with a torn pec injury and he was last seen at the RAW after the Hell In A Cell 2022 PLE right after the night of defeating Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell with that torn pec. This was his biggest match since returning from AEW to WWE earlier this year at WrestleMania 38.

Cody Rhodes talked about his Royal Rumble statistics

“My Royal Rumble stats are top 10, they’re phenomenal. So if I was to come back at that event, there is a chance I could actually get up in the top 5 and I’m all about that. You never know! We’ll see,” Cody Rhodes noted.

“[My doctor] told me flat out that he’s not going to give me a timeline because he’s afraid I’m going to try and jump it. So I’m still going to try and jump it.” He added that his recovery is “ahead of schedule” but also noted that he “couldn’t win an arm wrestling contest right now.”

Update On Cody Rhodes Possibly Returning At WWE Royal Rumble 2023 2

It’s not clear which accolades Cody Rhodes was actually talking about around Royal Rumble but he does possess the record of spending the ninth-longest cumulative time in Royal Rumble matches. If he does return at the 2023 Royal Rumble, he would have to spend more than 40 minutes to make his way into the top five that have names like Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton.

Cody Rhodes also earned the accolade of having more eliminations than anyone else in the 2012 Rumble match with the number being five. The highest elimination record is 13, set by Brock Lesnar in 2020.
