Before the news broke out of popular female superstars Paige getting released by the WWE, fans have been counting the days of her absence from television. Apparently, she was kept off from WWE’s televised products for 800+ days according to various social media posts by her fans. Ultimately, she never got the chance to come back as she would have to bid an official goodbye to the WWE Universe, next month.
Speaking on her Twitch channel, Paige reflected on her bygone WWE career and what the future has in store for her in the coming months. She expressed her grievances with the WWE officials. She’s grateful that WWE kept her under a contract despite breaking her neck twice but then again she wanted to do something on live television in some capacity rather than getting paid for free.

Despite her popularity, it was surprising to know that Paige’s pitches to make WWE TV appearances were turned down,
“They weren’t using me to my full potential, that’s for sure. I broke my neck twice for this company, just to be let go. I still tried to fight to do something and then to not be told until the last minute left me disappointed. Again, I understand their reasoning why they didn’t want to re-new the contract.”

Paige had an illustrious career in WWE
Paige’s last match with WWE occurred at a live event on December 27, 2017, when she teamed with her Absolution partners Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose against Bayley, Mickie James, and Sasha Banks. After picking up a neck concussion, she officially announced her retirement from in-ring competition due to that.
Paige appeared on WWE TV following the announcement of her retirement, for managerial roles for Absolution and The Kabuki Warriors – Asuka and Kairi Sane. Plus, the most significant on-screen role for her was the run as General Manager of SmackDown from April 2018 to December 2018 after which she was also utilized for WWE Backstage on FOX in 2019.
Once WWE Backstage was scrapped by FOX, Paige was ruled out any type of involvement in WWE programming. The first-ever NXT Women’s Champion then shocked the wrestling world, last week announcing her departure from the WWE on July 7 as WWE didn’t want to re-sign her to a new contract.
