As reported in recent times, chatters about former Divas Champion Paige returning to wrestling competition are alive. Given how names like Edge, or Daniel Bryan overcame the similar injury that she is dealing with, it is possible for her to make a comeback with strong determination. While she needs the green signal from WWE medical team, mental preparation is also required for the same.
It was unfortunate to learn in 2018 that Paige had to retire at an age of just 25 due to a neck injury. This is the worst a young wrestler like her can expect. With wrestling in her blood, she does want to make a return turning WWE to her house again. But then again, her neck injuries were quite serious which once left her flat on her back in an immovable position, in a terrifying manner.

It appears that the anti-Diva still gets bad vibes from that incident that took place in the very last match of hers. She fears whether it gets reciprocated when she eventually makes the comeback. While speaking to the Oral Sessions podcast hosted by Renee Young, Paige said that her neck feels good after going through two neck fusion surgeries.
Paige is hesitant on an imminent return
But she still doesn’t want to take any risk with it. She should be wrestling tomorrow, per her will but there’s also a fear of something going wrong that could lead her to a paralyzed state.
“My neck feels good. It does scare me as well to come back and wrestle because I really want to. I would come back tomorrow, but I will have it in the back of my head like ‘what if something happens and I get paralyzed?’” Paige continued.
“It does scare me and I know I am not going to be fully ready mentally to come back, but watch out world. When I am mentally ready to come back, everyone is in trouble.”
It was in December 2017 at a house show in Madison Square Garden when Paige’s severe neck injury was revealed. She was wrestling in a tag team match and after digesting a kick to the back from Sasha Banks, she was unable to move inside the ring. The match was instantly called off and after evaluation, the doctors permanently ruled her out of competition. To date, the British Diva is still under contract with WWE but she hasn’t been used on TV in recent times.
