Now that John Cena is back on WWE TV, it seems that he could be in attendance for the PLE playing the role at Payback 2023 as indicated by the source,

John Cena is making his return to WWE, this week and he’s picking up more dates than expected during the fall as the ongoing strike continues to put Hollywood to a halt. Now, it seems that fans may expect him to see at Payback 2023, tomorrow night, the official expectation is expected to arrive when he finally appears on TV on tonight’s Smackdown from Hershey, Pennsylvania.
As of now, Seth Rollins is scheduled to headline Payback 2023 as he defends the world heavyweight title against Shinsuke Nakamura. Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is also scheduled to defend her title against Raquel Rodriguez.
