During this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Alexa Bliss hosted an episode of “A Moment of Bliss” talk-show with the special guest Randy Orton with The Fiend Bray Wyatt lurking around. During the segment, Bliss jumped onto Orton’s arms while the demonic character was making an entrance to the ring.

Randy Orton gave Bliss back to The Fiend after a bit of waiting and then got out of the ring. Orton then asked him “who’s laughing now?” while escaping through the ramp. The commentators then mentioned how Randy Orton has found out the one weakness that Wyatt’s twisted persona might have. So now The Viper may continue to use this against him.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE officials believe that “Orton is the master heel”, and so it’d be easy for a veteran like him to help The Fiend and Alexa Bliss turn into babyfaces in the coming weeks.

Although The Fiend and Bliss haven’t presented any concrete pieces of evidence in turning babyfaces yet Wyatt did ask Orton to hand over Bliss to him. This was noted by sources as one indication that Orton could be playing the bad guy in this feud. Plus, there are more reasons why this character change was needed.

WWFOldSchool.com was informed that WWE is planning to turn The Fiend a babyface against Orton keeping the latter one heel as they usually avoid heel vs. heel or face vs. face feuds from happening.

The Fiend has been a universal villain, until now while his opponents are faces but things will be different from now on. A source informed following emphasizing Orton’s greatness as a heel.

“Vince has no plans to turn Orton face anytime soon. He’s had an excellent run as a heel this year, and the chairman wants to see more of it.”

Furthermore, another source stated that WWE doesn’t want to throw away the final encounter of the Orton vs Edge trilogy that’s happening at WrestleMania 37. The long-term booking was retained and in the process, The Fiend had to turn into a babyface.

“WWE has been planning the final encounter between Orton and Edge at WrestleMania for a long time, and turning Orton face would affect the company’s long-term booking.”

According to Fightful, WWE had to scramble “virtually everyone at the top of the RAW roster” after Survivor Series and this happened due to Braun Strowman’s injury.

The original plan for Strowman was to face Drew McIntyre at WWE TLC but it was scrapped after the Monster Among Men got injured. This shift also changed around “several programs” as they had to adjust things “anywhere from one to three weeks.”
