Last Friday, WWE had issued a statement as an announcement to release total eight superstars from the roster and performers which include some of the former champions. The statement only mentioned that they were released. No apparent reasons or details were given for the same. The names appearing on the list were mostly expected and no shocking names appeared on the list.
The names that were present in the list were Damien Sandow, King Barrett, Santino Marella, Cameron, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito and Zeb Colter. The superstars took the social media to let us know their feelings after getting released from the roster of the biggest wrestling franchise.
Damien Sandow was a huge fan favorite since after he broke the ally with the Miz. He was acting as The Miz’s stunt double and earned huge fan following since then. But, it also marked the time when he got into the bad books of the company and they decided not to promote him further in the roster. It was quite unusual to see Sandow getting released from the company even though his popularity was increasing gradually. His reaction came in sarcastic way as follows:
Wow! Trending worldwide for 3 plus hours. Sorry I didn’t notice I was at @ChurchillDowns . Ok so here it goes.. [email protected]

Hornswoggle was known for his funny characteristics in WWE and was a member of the WWE for the past decade with a huge fan following. He was immediately booked by Global Force Wrestling with fellow release Zeb Colter. His tweet was as follows:
Well no time is better than now. Wrestling shows, conventions, signings, bat mitzvahs, whatever you’d like…[email protected]

Another fan favorite Santino Marella got rather candid in his tweet. He let us know in his tweet that this August would have marked his 10th year in WWE.
This August would’ve been 10 years with #WWE, not bad for a guy who had his first match at age 29, it took me 3 HARD yrs to get there

The Diva released by WWE was Cameron after she got into the bad books by commenting on the sensitive Ryback issue. Her response came in rather in a cryptic way by saying, “Well it’s been pretty intense few days, to say the least. I appreciate the outpouring of love and support that I have received today. I would like to take the time to appropriately thank all the fans and the WWE but before I take my final bow, let me throw back a few and take this all in lol! Stay tuned for my full statement..”
Wade Barrett, too commented upon his release on the day of release.
