WWE’s Renee Young has resumed her career in All Elite Wrestling as Renee Paquette in the same role of a journalist. If the reports are to go by then WWE was in touch with her to bring her back to the company after her departure in 2020. But with her husband Jon Moxley in the top position of AEW, it came as a no-brainer that she decided to join the Tony Khan-owned brand.
Being in the WWE, Renee Paquette had certain rules to follow especially with Vince McMahon in charge where she was unable to explore her own world on her own terms which is not the case in AEW. After joining the company, the popular female wrestling journalist was regularly hosting The Sessions podcast.
Ex WWE Raw Star Renee Young Doesn’t Want To Show The Sexier Side Of Hers
But to the dismay of her fanbase, The Sessions will move into a hiatus. Sean Sapp noted behind his Fightful’s paywall that Renee Paquette’s “The Sessions” podcast is going to be on a hiatus. The belief is that the current deal with the host platform has expired and the show can only return before a new deal could be reached,
“We’re told Renee Paquette’s “Sessions” podcast is on hiatus for the time being. It is believed the deal expired without them coming to term.”
Renee Paquette started her own podcast after WWE exit
Renee Paquette launched “The Sessions” podcast in late 2020 after her release from WWE following Summerslam of that year. According to the host, the show was originally titled to be “The Young & The Wrestlers,” based on the long-running soap opera “The Young & The Restless.” But it got changed in due course. There is no update on when could “The Sessions” will resume its production. The host has also not commented on her show going off the air.
Apart from presenting her own podcast, Renee Paquette has been a regular feature on AEW TV as a backstage interviewer for All Elite Wrestling, where she and “Hey! (EW)” host R.J. City have been dubbing themselves as the “Wrestle Aunts” of AEW. She’s also reportedly exploring the producer’s duties while being with the AEW.
As for a return to the WWE, Renee Paquette has teased the idea of going back but then again, it obviously makes more sense to work in AEW alongside her husband, Jon Moxley fka Dean Ambrose in WWE. Hence, in the near future, there’s no chance that we could get to see Renee Young back on WWE TV.
