The WWE brought Goldberg for the first episode of Monday Night Raw in 2017 to kick-start the promotions for the Royal Rumble PPV. His appearance on the first-ever Kevin Owens show was booked brilliantly. This began tensions running around the WWE roster for the Rumble match. For sure, the WWE will be utilizing the icon once more to create more hype.
As per the recent reports, Goldberg will be present on the go home show for Royal Rumble PPV. He is being advertised for January 23rd edition of Monday Night Raw, that is set to take place in the city of Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland.com confirmed the news as the promotions for the episode has started locally. The WWE should address it in the due course as we go forward to the Royal Rumble PPV. Brock Lesnar is not advertised for the show, till date which suggests that a confrontation between the two of them might not happen.
However, the WWE might have in store Brock Lesnar as a surprise package to give us a preview of the things to come when the two goliaths meet. As of now, the planning is to hold the confrontation until we get into the Rumble match to make sure the moment becomes the much-anticipated one.
Hence, Lesnar and Goldberg will be appearing alternatively on WWE Raw. Lesnar is being advertised for the January 16th episode from Little Rocks, Arkansas, as reported earlier. This will be his first televised appearance since the devastating loss faced at the hands of the Goldberg.
This year, the prestigious Royal Rumble match is based on the rivalry between Goldberg and Lesnar. There’s already been a lot of animosity between these two competitors and the Rumble event is going to be a perfect set up for a match between them at Wrestlemania.
