In the main event of WrestleMania 39 Night Two, Roman Reigns defeated 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and approach one step closer to remaining the champion for 1000 days. On May 27, he will complete that landmark which should happen without any bar given he’s on a hiatus.
There have been speculations that what WWE could possibly have in store for Roman Reigns, next once he shows up, next. According to the reports of Xero News, WWE is planning some of the future feuds for the dual champion which should involve four superstars from both Raw and Smackdown.

An injury scrapped mega match for Roman Reigns at Summerslam 2022
Randy Orton was the second challenger revealed for the undisputed title. But for that feud to happen, Orton first needs to show on WWE TV. At this point, he’s absent for almost a year due to injury. Orton vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Title was originally scheduled to be the main event of SummerSlam 2022, but things got scrapped after Orton got injured and subsequently required surgery to get things fixed.
During his current title reign, Seth Rollins is the only opponent that Roman Reigns couldn’t beat fair and square in a match. The two collided for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2022 where the champion lost via DQ (so the title didn’t change hands) after he didn’t let go of the Guillotine Chokehold. Once the match bell rang, Reigns destroyed Rollins with chair shots as if he was taking revenge for Rollins’ turn-on from The Shield days.
Finally, Cody Rhodes is also on the list for a future title match as he suffered a pinfall loss against Roman Reigns due to the interference of Solo Sikoa at Wrestlemania 39. For the time being, WWE is moving away from the Reigns vs. Rhodes feud as Cody will now focus on his feud with Brock Lesnar. But eventually, WWE is bound to move back to a rematch between The Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare.
