Revealed: The Winner of the WWE Summerslam 2017 Main Event 1

In recent times, the rumour mill is quite busy finding out whether Brock Lesnar will be available in the WWE after the Summerslam PPV or not? For the past few weeks, the speculations are ongoing with a potential deal between UFC and the reigning Universal Champion indicating that Lesnar might jump ship once the biggest party of the summer gets over.

The rumours were fuelled even more after the UFC lightweight champion, Jon Jones called out Brock Lesnar for fight following UFC 214. Furthermore, WWE.com also hinted that a match between Jones and Lesnar might be on the cards in future.

Plus, the title contest in which Brock Lesnar will defend his championship will be a fatal-4-way match against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman. Quite evidently, the recent reports suggested that the company wants him to drop the title but not want to make him involved in the pinfall so that he can remain protected.

Going in total contrast, one of the most reliable sources, The Dirty Sheets has revealed that the beast incarnate will still be walking out of Summerslam with the championship around his waist. WWE has no intentions whatsoever to take away the championship from the conqueror on that night. Rather, he will defend it again at the No Mercy PPV in September.

The announcement where Paul Heyman declared that Brock Lesnar would leave WWE if he fails to retain his championship. Going by the recent news, the fans might think that his days in the WWE are numbered.

Furthermore, the source also revealed that WWE has no intentions to let Brock Lesnar compete against Jon Jones sooner. The beast is still under contract with WWE until next year’s Wrestlemania. So, there’s no chance of seeing this dream match-up to next year’s summer.

Also, USADA has suspended the Universal Champion from MMA competitions for one year which is still intact. So, he cannot return to the Octagon, anyways ruining the possibilities of featuring in one-off UFC match shortly. Rather, he will be playing a significant role as the biggest box office attraction in the WWE.
