Revealed: Who Will Face Asuka For Her Title At Wrestlemania 35? 1

WWE women’s roster would agree that they are going through good times for the past couple of year. The company has handed them chances, one after another to showcase their skills. They capitalized on all of them and took their spot to the main event caliber. This year’s Wrestlemania is all set to see the first-ever main event match by the female superstars.

One superstar might disagree with the above ongoing despite being a title-holder. We are talking about Asuka who is the champion on Smackdown brand. But she has received the least impressive booking ever since winning the title back at TLC 2018. A successful title defense followed at Royal Rumble but she could not make an impression.

WWE kept her away from the TV for a month before she came back after Elimination Chamber. Asuka will now perform at the Fastlane event. Her opponent on the show will be Mandy Rose as per the storylines on Smackdown. Mandy has pinned the champion on her returning night to earn a title opportunity.

This upcoming match at Fastlane would a filler match prior to Wrestlemania. As per the recent reports, the creative team has much bigger planning in store for Asuka for the biggest event of the year. She is likely to face someone whom we did not expect to see in the title picture, this sooner. She is none other than Lacey Evans!

This might come as a shocker for many of the WWE fans. This name is the newest import on the main roster from the NXT brand. She does not have the experience of competing in even one singles contest to date. But still, huge things might be waiting for her for Wrestlemania 35.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter is the source who suggested the above-mentioned scenario. The show writers
are considering new WWE main roster star Lacey Evans as SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka’s opponent at WrestleMania 35. No wonder that the soon-to-be challenger will get a big push to land straight into the championship picture.

Here’s more from wwfoldschool.com on the push,

“While Lacey is only under consideration at this point (not confirmed), we did note before that WWE is planning a “super push” for Lacey and right now they just want to show that “The Lady Of WWE” is an important woman to watch out for in the WWE Women’s Division (that’s why she’s only doing walks on the entrance ramp).”

Lacey Evans has entered the women’s Royal Rumble match at number 1 spot to make her main roster in-ring debut. She lasted for 30 minutes in the match and eliminated the IIconics to pull off a decent performance. Hopefully, she can go through with the bigger task in hand for Wrestlemania season.
