WWE women’s champions are no distinct these days from the men’s division titleholders since they are also allowed to steal the show under the main event spotlight. The eye candy days for them back in the Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression Era are long gone when they were treated via their beauty quotient. At the beginning of Women’s Evolution, they are measured for their wrestling skills.
That being said, there are always anticipations within the WWE Universe about the championship belts from the female roster. After all, matches like Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, or Money in the Bank which revolves around champions or championships were introduced long ago and WWE has had its share of dominant such names in the women’s division over the years.
Roman Reigns Predicted To End 2023 As Still The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion
Currently, the top titles are held by Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair from the SmackDown and Raw Women’s Divisions, respectively. The question is whether they will still be the champions until the end of this year. BetOnline has released odds on who will end the year with the SmackDown or Raw Women’s Titles on their shoulder and both these names look to be favorites in retaining their respective belts.
Trish Stratus Informs WWE Hall Of Famer Was To Be An Enforcer For Her In 2005
Current champions are favorite to finish 2023 with their titles intact on their shoulder
The released odds suggest that Rhea Ripley is currently favored to close 2023 and open 2024 as still the champion standing at -120. Belair is standing close to her at -115. This is interesting since she has already completed a year since winning the belt. Only Becky Lynch is ahead of her in terms of the longest reign with either the Raw or SmackDown branded title.
Other notable names on the list to be champions by the end of the year include Charlotte Flair. She is slightly an underdog standing at +150 but things could change once she returns from her current hiatus that began after WrestleMania 39. Other top names like Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey are both currently sitting at +200. Liv Morgan is having +1000, while NXT star Zoey Stark has the longest odds of +5000.
The post-WrestleMania 39 season has just begun and it’s nothing safe to predict on what WWE has in store for the title holders in the long shot. Bianca Belair retained her Raw Women’s championship by defeating the 2023 Elimination Chamber match winner Asuka to retain at WrestleMania 39. On the same event, Rhea Ripley became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion by defeating Charlotte Flair on Night Two.
