Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominik Mysterio has now become a regular member of the WWE RAW roster. This is the second time that Dominik is looking forward to making an impact on WWE television. But this time around, he’s a trained pro wrestler who’s in a mission to take out Seth Rollins on RAW. This storyline should end in a way to establish Dominik in a better position.
While speaking to Rock Around the Ring, Rey Mysterio noted on his career saying that he knows that he doesn’t have much left when it comes to in-ring competitions. Thus the conversation proceeded to his impending final match. It’s unclear at this point when that will happen. But it seems his career doesn’t have too many years left.

Rey Mysterio Doesn’t Want To Lose WWE Retirement Match To Dominik
Additionally, it’s almost certain that Dominik should be involved in a certain capacity when that match eventually happens. Rey Mysterio stated that he would hate the idea of facing his son in the last match as he doesn’t want to go away by losing a match. Of course, he doesn’t know whether creative freedom would be given to him or not, but it’s not something he’s looking forward to.
“That’s something that I would hate. I would hate to walk out and have my son take over on my last match. I think the torch has already been passed and will eventually again the day that we get to share a ring together and perform in front of fans. That’s when the torch will be passed onto him.” (courtesy Wrestling News)
Wade Barrett Having A Contract Negotiation With WWE For Full-Time Return
Going by the history of pro-wrestling, while the older talents start to phase out of the in-ring competition they do end up digesting a huge loss against a newer opponent to put them over. As Rey Mysterio has been focused to establish Dominik as a future WWE superstar, a win over his dad would be a great accomplishment for the young gun. But if his father doesn’t want to happen, it may not be on the card.
Rey Mysterio added that he does want to pass the torch onto Dominik meaning to leave his legacy in WWE through Dominik but it’s not by losing to him in the retirement match. The Master of 619 might have entered the final chapter of his career. But he did let it knew that he doesn’t want to put over his son on the way out. Rather, he may want to get the final match done in a memorable way and then walk away with a big win.
