Otis ended up winning the 2020 Money In The Bank ladder match back in May and became the owner of the most opportunistic briefcase in WWE history that will let him become a world champion in the future. Prior to this, Otis was a member of Heavy Machinery but then he got into the good books of Vince McMahon that made him the winner of the MITB briefcase.

Ringside News earlier reported that McMahon had become the “driving force” behind the push of the concerned superstar. Tucker was disbanded with Otis because WWE wanted to build the latter as a solo superstar following the Money In The Bank win. Apparently, some big plans have been pitched for the 2020 edition winner which is said to be off the card, as of now. This is due to the recent changes made to the creative team of the WWE.

The source provided an update saying his Money In The Bank win was “supposed to be Otis’ big moment.” They had more follow-up plans attached to it. But then WWE went into another direction. The exact wording given to the source was, “Otis and briefcase: Who knows?” It means there’s no chance for him to appear in the main-event or championship picture, sooner. He’d rather have to wait, patiently.

Ringsidenews.com also mentioned how a three-way championship picture was thought involving Otis and his Money In The Bank,

“Otis’ Money In The Bank win was supposed to “set him up down the line for The Fiend.” Bray Wyatt has since been transitioned into a multi-match program with Braun Strowman.”

The Heavy Machinery guy still has the Money In The Bank briefcase with him that however promises that he is bound to get opportunities in the future for the Universal Title. The non-materialized plans may have to be renewed by WWE in due course or else another youngster will be lost in the shuffle.

Regarding Otis’ former partner, Tucker, we were told that his re-entry into the scene, a few weeks ago was supposed to build toward a “big angle” down the line. A lot of things were lined up for the duo but at this point, it’s unknown how many of those have changed. Vince McMahon’s constant changes in mind and writing.
