Rhea Ripley claimed to have carried Liv Morgan much like Raquel Rodriguez
Rhea Ripley had built quite close friendships with some of the roster members in the WWE and in the process, had built tag teams with top stars including Liv Morgan and Raquel Gonzalez. Interestingly, Gonzalez and Morgan have formed a tag team themselves.
While speaking on Ring The Belle, Rhea Ripley mentioned this and joked that she feels dirty after seeing Liv Morgan teaming up with Raquel Rodriguez. This is because Rodriguez helps Morgan to put over all the time much like Ripley used to do back in the day,
“Oh yeah. Now she climbs for Raquel [Rodriguez] you know and I feel dirty. Because they’re both like my ex-tag team partners and I feel like I brought them together in a way. Urgh.”
Rhea Ripley was always destined for greatness in the WWE ever since she joined the company as part of the NXT UK brand. Keeping her in a tag team with Morgan would have been an underutilization of talent. So the break up was needed and in due course, she ended up winning every single major women’s title in the company.
On WrestleMania 39 Night One, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair in a brutal encounter to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. With that win, the Australian Superstar has become the first-ever true Grand Slam Champion in the WWE as she had won all the present titles across all the brands of the WWE.
