Rhea Ripley has received a massive push since the beginning of her career on the WWE main roster. Her first official match as part of Monday Night RAW took place at WrestleMania 37 where she defeated Asuka to become the new Raw Women’s Champion. Not to mention, she also performed at Mania 36 competing against none other than Charlotte Flair.
This big debut was needed as many see her to be the future of the women’s division. Now she is the reigning RAW Women’s Champion who must be defending her belt at WrestleMania Backlash. But there are some confusions regarding her bookings. Fans are confused about whether they would treat her as a babyface or a heel. WWE’s instructions are also a reason behind this.

WWE instructed fans for Rhea Ripley
Those fans revealed to Alvarez the way WWE wants fans to react to Rhea Ripley. According to fans in the ThunderDome, WWE is instructing them to cheer for the RAW Women’s Champion despite the fact that she is acting like a heel. She also wrestled as part of a heel team on Raw in a 6-woman tag team match along with Women’s Tag Team Champions – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
It should be noted that Rhea Ripley’s first promo on RAW was a heel promo. She mentioned how Charlotte Flair was resting at home due to the COVID-19 situation which is why she declared herself to be the challenger for Asuka. It made sense since Asuka is a babyface on Raw and a WrestleMania showdown between these two seemed logical.
But being the future of the female locker room, WWE doesn’t want the Australian Superstar to get booed, at least for now. Rhea Ripley has already made history by becoming the first-ever WWE Superstar to capture the NXT, NXT UK, and the Raw Women’s Championship on the main roster.
