In one of the co-main-events of last night’s WrestleMania 39 Saturday, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The two women threw out extreme curveballs at each other in the match to bring out their very best. In the end, The Queen was sent to the ring post before she was planted with an avalanche riptide to pass the torch to her successor in the WWE.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H posted a photo in his signature pose with the new champion and offered the following alongside the following tweet,
“A championship battle for the ages. Welcome to the mountain top, Rhea Ripley.”

Then in the post-Wrestlemania 39 press conference, Triple H stated that Rhea Ripley is now on the level of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in terms of telling stories to people. The Game added that he would love to see the Aussie WWE Superstar proving him wrong in just six weeks by reaching a different level.
“I say this often to Roman, that he operates, storytelling & character wise, at a different level from everybody else. The continuity of everything he does and the way it all plays out, to me it’s at a different level. Rhea is getting to that level now. Everything she does now is clicking.”

Rhea Ripley is the ultimate women’s Grand Slam Champion in WWE
After defeating Charlotte Flair on Wrestlemania 39 Night One, Rhea Ripley has clinched the first single win over The Queen at a WWE PLE. Besides, she is now the fifth Grand Slam Champion in WWE after Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Asuka. The Nightmare has previously won the NXT UK Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship, WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and the RAW Women’s Championship.
Regarding her accomplishments, Rhea Ripley was asked to comment during the post-Wrestlemania 39 media conference. The new SmackDown Women’s Champion was seemingly satisfied to become the first-ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion in the WWE women’s division (she’s the only one to have won the NXT as well as NXT UK Women’s Title)
“I mean, like you said, ‘History.’ I’m here to make history. Growing up in South Australia I was told that my dream of making it to WWE wouldn’t happen, so just making it here is an accomplishment,” Rhea Ripley continued.
“Being the first Grand Slam Champion, to have those championships is so satisfying. I’m so proud of my journey to WWE and journey in WWE. To have all of those moments. That’s one thing I strive to so, I want to write my name in the history books, and I’ve gone and done that.”
