Coming out of two more successful title defenses over two back-to-back nights, Roman Reigns is beaming with confidence. Heading into the Show of Shows, he’s definitely having the upper hand against his opponent Brock Lesnar. With Paul Heyman and The Usos by his corner, no one had been able to upstage for over two years. That being said, another record has been created.

Roman Reigns remains the most protected superstar in the WWE, right now and there are some obvious reasons why that’s so. He has not been pinned for a very long time. An interesting stat following this weekend shows that WWE’s Tribal Chief has now completed a triumphant 800 days without being pinned. While he has been part of a losing team both on TV and house shows but he himself has never been pinned in the past 800 days.

The last time Roman Reigns got pinned was when he squared off against Baron Corbin in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at WWE TLC, on December 15, 2019. His final loss is considered to be the elimination from the 2020 Royal Rumble match where Drew McIntyre hurled him over the top rope to win the melee but he wasn’t pinned in that match, either.

Roman Reigns had successful title defenses, this past weekend

Roman Reigns has perhaps been the most dominant champion of the modern era as the WWE Universal Champion. The title run has been going for over 500 days as he created a new record after toppling the previous record set by Brock Lesnar. He has defeated every single competitor who challenged him for the WWE Universal Championship.

Back at the Madison Square Garden event, Roman Reigns busted Lesnar open, ahead of their WrestleMania 38 match. A brutal beatdown followed to The Beast by The Bloodline faction makes us believe that a measure of payback would be waiting from Lesnar.

Paul Heyman was one of the associates for Roman Reigns in that beatdown on Lesnar from the World’s Most Famous Arena. During a recent guest on The Battleground Podcast, The Special Counsel of the Tribal Chief remembered the first time he met his on-screen master,

“What stood out to his son to me was that in a locker room filled with future WWE Hall Of Famers, future WWE Champions, future WWE main-eventers. I’ll throw one name at you, Sid Justice, who was in that locker room. A locker room filled with people like that,” he said. “Filled with people like Yokozuna, Roman Reigns had more charisma at three-years-old than everybody in that locker room combined.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
