Roman Reigns has been the top champion in WWE for over 800 days now. It’s been almost 250 days that he’s in possession of both the WWE and Universal Championships, to be exact. Being the top-most superstar of the company, he is a sure-shot headliner in the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 39, next spring.
As WWE continues to finalize things for the show set in Hollywood, initial reports are suggesting that Roman Reigns may end up competing in two matches on the show, separately for his two titles. This makes sense as the Show of Shows will be hosted across two separate nights.

This will be the 4th WrestleMania which will be a 2-night event. While no matches of superstars have officially been announced for the show, it’s almost certain that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will feature in the main event of Night Two as WWE still plans on letting him enter the grandest stage with both his titles.

Roman Reigns pitched to perform in two matches at Wrestlemania 39
According to the reports of Xero News, Roman Reigns may be seen in action on both nights of WrestleMania 39. WWE Officials are still discussing ideas for him and anything regarding this matter is yet to be finalized,
“There is internal talks of Roman to pull double duty at ‘Mania. However this may change.”
In an update, the source also reported that there are discussions going on about Roman Reigns possibly dropping both his Titles in separate matches at WrestleMania 39,
“The Titles will be split by the end of the Draft latest. The Draft will be after WrestleMania. There is some talks however of Roman dropping both Belts at Mania. First on Night 1 and Second on Night 2.”
WWE Draft possibly happening after Wrestlemania
As you can see, The Draft happening after Wrestlemania makes sense why WWE Officials are probably looking forward to ending the reign of terror of The Head of the Table and make new opportunities for the other roster members. The titles situated in the same position have already made things stale, so to speak.
If the above-mentioned plans actually end up happening, then the WWE and Universal Titles will become separate from Wrestlemania 39 onwards. This will happen exactly a year after the title was unified at Wrestlemania 38 where Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar in a Winner Takes All Match.
