Despite all the rumors, Roman Reigns isn’t leaving the WWE, anytime soon and thereby he will continue to be a prominent feature on TV. After becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Wrestlemania 38, he didn’t defend the title at any TV shows and that tradition is likely to continue until this July. Moving on, WWE has sorted out the three names to be put against him.

Roman Reigns will reportedly put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Riddle at Money in the Bank (July 2), Randy Orton at SummerSlam (July 30), and Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle (September 3). Thus, all the three upcoming stadium shows will have championship defenses on the card by the top-most superstar of the WWE.

According to the reported Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while pitches for these matches have been made, none of these plans are etched in stone. But there have been talks of Roman Reigns wrestling the aforementioned opponents at the three WWE Premium Live Events.

The report falls in line with Brad Shepard who recently revealed on his Patreon that a source in WWE told him that Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline both the Money In The Bank and SummerSlam premium live events. It was also reported that WWE was considering Team RK-Bro as possible challengers for the dual champion in separate singles contests.

“The current creative plan is likely to be Riddle or Randy Orton as one of the upcoming contenders versus Roman, which may indicate RK-Bro is breaking up.”

Roman Reigns will work a limited schedule in WWE

Brad also noted in his reports that Roman Reigns is not scheduled to be on live events after the Sunday Night Stunner scheduled in Cedar Rapids on May 22nd. He may not likely be appearing on any house show cards through the end of June. The Tribal Chief was part of a WWE live event in Trenton where he squared off against Drew McIntyre. But it was the promo after the match that sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy.

“I’m starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back here again,” the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion said. “If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.”

It was later noted by outlets that Roman Reigns has reportedly signed a new WWE deal that will allow him to work fewer dates for the company. That being said, a hiatus may also be scheduled but that’s not happening until Clash at the Castle passes by.
