Roman Reigns and his WWE schedule remained a matter of discussion for the fans throughout the summer of 2022. Prior to Wrestlemania 38, he was making regular appearances on WWE TV but things then changed after he defeated Brock Lesnar to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. In virtue of a limited deal signed with the WWE, he started making limited appearances, much like his adversary.

Over the summer, Roman Reigns did make several appearances on WWE programming, mostly through television tapings. But then, he also missed big Premium Live Events like Hell in a Cell and Money in the Bank. But shows like the July 22 Smackdown in Boston followed by Raw at Madison Square Garden on the 25th had the top champion on the card.

Roman Reigns was then scheduled for two back-to-back Stadium Shows hosted by the WWE namely Summerslam 2022 and the inaugural Clash at the Castle from the United Kingdom. But unfortunately, he is not currently listed to appear for the October WWE Network Specials, Extreme Rules.

WWE recently announced that the most extreme night of the year will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on October 8. Fans already started grabbing tickets for the annual event starting on July 15.

It’s likely that the first-ever Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will be rested for the show before he comes back for the reported next Stadium Show in late October from Saudi Arabia. Afterward, Survivor Series is the final PPV listed for the 2022 calendar of the WWE followed by the first 2023 PPV named WWE Day 1 on New Year’s Day.

The match card of Extreme Rules is subject to change and WWE could always Roman Reigns to the fold if storyline directions or poor ticket selling needs so. But for the time being, the top-most superstar of the company isn’t booked to compete on that night.
