Roman Reigns is the franchise player of the WWE although that term is no more used in the company since after John Cena left for Hollywood. But being a successor of the Cenation Leader, The Tribal Chief certainly has the intention to follow in his footsteps to make an entry into the movie industry. It seems to be destiny for him going by the tradition over the past several years.
Also, Roman Reigns is The Rock’s cousin. The two belong to the Samoan family who excelled in both the movie and pro wrestling industry. Entertainment runs through their blood and it seems only a matter of time that the reigning Universal Champion would like to follow his elder brother to make a name in the mainstream industry.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer opened up about what the future could hold for Roman Reigns once his time in WWE is over. Although the company portrays him to be the top star on the roster, his end game is to use this spot as a springboard to eventually make it to Hollywood. This is the same that The Rock and John Cena had done using their top spots.

“Roman Reigns’ end game is to be like Dwayne Johnson — to use WWE to springboard to Hollywood when you’re done with this, absolutely. Roman Reigns has already worked in movies
Although it would be nearly impossible for Roman Reigns to duplicate the works of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, he can surely reach the level of John Cena who could cement his spot in Hollywood with the upcoming roles in Fast and Furious 9 and Peacemaker. Roman 35 years old, and down the road, he has to slow down given how physically demanding the professional wrestling business is.
Hollywood has already offered a short role to Roman Reigns in Fast and Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw and The Wrong Missy. There will be coming opportunities down the road and it would get harder for him to turn those offers down. But for now, the Universal Champion will continue to carry on the SmackDown brand on his shoulder.
