Roman Reigns has been rumored to go into a hiatus from his current WWE schedule and as days progress, the speculations are getting fuelled up. Now, it’s being reported that the top-most superstar of the WWE will not be involved in the upcoming Hell In A Cell premium live event, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.
It was recently reported that Roman Reigns has signed a new deal with WWE recently and via this, his working schedule will be less hectic. He will only work in the essential live events and not in the smaller shows. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is also not advertised for any TV tapings or live events for July and August.

In addition, Roman Reigns is also not set to compete at the next premium live event, which takes place next month. That being said, the expectation is that his next title match will be at the WWE Money In The Bank 2022 event since it will be hosted from a big Stadium. But things currently seem very much unclear about the dual champion. The much-anticipated singles feud against Drew McIntyre also seems to be in jeopardy.

It also remains to be seen how WWE plans on explaining Roman Reigns’ upcoming absences from television. Given that both WWE Money In The Bank and WWE SummerSlam will be stadium shows, he should take part in both those shows. Plus, he is also set to be part of WWE’s weekly television in order to build those shows.
Roman Reigns to appear in fewer shows, moving forward
It was noted by the sources that WWE might continue to advertise him for TV tapings for only those shows that he will be appearing at in the near future. The Tribal Chief will reportedly make more frequent appearances than Brock Lesnar during his time as champion.
It should also be noted that a recent live event in Trenton, New Jersey saw Roman Reigns cutting an interesting promo that got the wrestling world discussing his schedule. He hinted at moving into a new phase of his career and fans got the alert that The Bloodline leader would be appearing in fewer shows from now onward.
“I’ve been here a couple of times in the past 10 years,” Roman Reigns said after retaining his Universal Title in Trenton live event. “I’m starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back here again. If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.”
