Roman Reigns created his Island of Relevancy in the WWE, Smackdown to be specific and he runs the yard with an iron fist. His dominant run from 2020 onwards made him the longest-reigning champion of the modern era of the WWE. Flanked by The Bloodline, he has been unstoppable as well as the top-most attraction in the WWE.
With John Cena transitioning into a part-timer in the WWE, a new name was needed as the replacement, and Roman Reigns perfectly fitted into the character. The new poster boy of the company had also moved merchandise to bring in dollars for the WWE. Down the road, the current top superstar of the WWE has similar plans to that of Cena while his ongoing tenure will continue.

WWE already admitted Roman Reigns’ Hollywood aspirations
Roman Reigns has been enjoying his 800+day reign as champion with the Universal Championship while he has also been a dual champion since Wrestlemania 38. With The Bloodline watching his back, no one in the WWE had the power to dethrone the faction from their marquee position.
It’s safe to say that The Tribal Chef’s WWE career will continue for a long time but that won’t stop him from getting involved in outside projects. WWE co-CEO Nick Khan had previously teased that they have “big plans” to help Roman Reigns carve out a path to Hollywood.

Roman Reigns affirms his Hollywood aspirations
Now, Roman Reigns talked about his aspirations outside the WWE and hinted that he indeed wants to feature in movie projects outside the company during a conversation with The Ringer,
“That’s something I want to dabble in and gain more experience. I want to use these tools that I’ve learned. [Wrestling] is a young man’s game. You can’t fall down your whole life. You have to get to a point where you can transition and continue to connect and create new fresh and evolved content for your fanbase and supporters.
I think I have the ability to do that. I have a pretty good track record with being thrown into the deep end. If that’s what happens in Hollywood, I’m going to swim.”
In the last decade, Roman Reigns was always positioned to become the next top superstar of the WWE right after his debut in WWE NXT in 2012. Becoming a part of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley was the first big step of his journey. After the stable parted ways in 2014, he went on to become a singles competitor.
Things completely changed for him in 2020 as Roman Reigns turned heel during his return at Summerslam 2020. A week after he won the WWE Universal Title and gradually went on to form The Bloodline with his family, The Usos, Paul Heyman, Sami Zayn, and Solo Sikoa to create the most dominant faction on SmackDown.
