Ronda Rousey is the only woman available in the world of sports entertainment business to have held the women’s titles under the TKO banner in UFC and WWE. After dominating the MMA scene since the late 2000s, she made the transition to professional wrestling after announcing her retirement from the octagon.

This came after back-to-back losses by knockout against Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. Ronda Rousey decided to leave her original territory and join a new one where Roddy Piper inspired her the most. Moving into the WWE, she went on to become a champion who ruled the WWE women’s division. Recently, it’s been revealed that she had accomplished all these things while hiding her concussion history,

“My concussion history, I had to keep [it] secret for years, so I would be able to continue to compete and perform. Our Fight.”

The revelation was made during the promotion spree of Ronda Rousey’s memoir, Our Fight. Moving on, the first-ever UFC Bantamweight Champion also reflected on her two losses from her MMA career and noted that it took her some time to get over those,

“I think that there was just so much to [the Holm loss], that I couldn’t talk about it in the form of like an interview or an article or anything like that, or there would be several filters between my words and people reading it.”

Reason Ronda Rousey didn’t reveal her concussion history

Ronda Rousey further revealed that she had talked about her concussion history in the book since she would have put a target on her head if she shared it while being in active competition in the MMA. In that case, she might not have been allowed to compete further in UFC and WWE would have produced the same situation. The latter company is known for its concussion protocols while UFC has its own rules, too.

Apart from sharing unknown facts in her book, Ronda Rousey has already blasted Vince McMahon and his former besties Bruce Prichard, and John Laurinaitis for their time running the company. This came in light of the ongoing sex trafficking lawsuit filed against McMahon and Laurinaitis.
