During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the feud between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler was always supposed to happen, down the road. At one point, this match was rumored to happen at Wrestlemania, next year. But things could have been preponed since The Baddest Woman on the Planet is on her way out of the WWE.
“The thing was that we were saying Ronda and Shayna were winning the tag team titles, and then Ronda got hurt. The thing is that I don’t know the date, but it might be SummerSlam or a little after. The deal is that Ronda has a hard out. She has a date, she gave a final date. I talked to someone in the company about this being a WrestleMania match, and they said that she’ll be out before WrestleMania.”
