Ronda Rousey is a regular feature on WWE TV, for the time being on the Raw brand but not as a champion. After the traumatic betrayal that she faced at Money in the Bank, her much-desired run with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles came to an end much before than one could assume and now it might be time for her WWE tenure to get wrapped up.
As previously revealed by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE always had plans for Ronda Rousey’s best friend Shayna Baszler to turn on so that a feud could be initiated. There was a delay, partially due to the former sustaining an arm injury in the Wrestlemania 39 season. It also reportedly made delays in the pair winning the tag titles, in the first place.

Now that Ronda Rousey’s “hard out” date is approaching for a WWE departure, WWE was forced to pull the trigger on her program with Baszler. With their match at Summerslam in the pipeline, the current assumption is that this could be the UFC Hall of Famer’s final match in the WWE,
“Based on whenever that out is, they had to get [the feud] done now. This was the latest they could go. Yeah, they wanted a long title reign to build it up and to do the whole thing where you can see the stuff coming, the little teases, and everything. They didn’t have time.”

Ronda Rousey suffered betrayal from Shayna Baszler at Money in the Bank
As of this writing, the exact date of Ronda Rousey’s departure isn’t given but with the feud commencing as soon as their tag team title began, we can only assume that WWE was always in a hurry.
Heading into Money in the Bank, Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey were scheduled to defend their Unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. During this match, Baszler attacked Rousey and passed her out in the Kirifuda Clutch which allowed Morgan and Rodriguez to pick up the victory and become two-time champs.
As noted above, the plans unfolded at Money in the Bank eyeing the departure of Ronda Rousey from the WWE. But before she leaves, she gets her wish fulfilled by feuding with her long-time friend whom she credits as the one to have introduced her to professional wrestling. In the process, Shayna will also receive a big-time rub from the former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion.
