Royal Rumble 2021: WWE Is Planning Second Firefly FunHouse Match

The ongoing rivalry of Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton will continue to run through Raw, eyeing a huge match at WWE Royal Rumble 2021. By all means, this is the most interesting feud that is dragging the red brand through their lackluster time and WWE doesn’t intend to drop the feud, either. This colorful program is not done and they reportedly have at least one more battle reserved for them.

As previously reported, WWE has been planning for a big gimmick match between Randy Orton and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view, as per the reports from Ringside News. Wrestling Observer Newsletter supported the same and mentioned exactly which match WWE is planning to do at the upcoming PPV.

Royal Rumble 2021: WWE Is Planning Second Firefly FunHouse Match

The latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that the current plan is to host a Firefly Funhouse Match at Royal Rumble 2021 which is a term originated for The Fiend aka Bray Wyatt. The only match under this chronology took place at Wrestlemania 36 where The Fiend defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 36.

It mostly witnessed a series of segments between Wyatt and Cena. The only physical action in the match was at the finish when The Fiend hit Sister Abigail, followed by the Mandible Claw to get the pinfall win over Cena.

It is to be noted that Randy Orton defeated The Fiend in the first-ever Firefly Inferno Match at the WWE TLC pay-per-view, last month. The finish of the match witnessed Orton setting The Fiend on fire by pouring gasoline on him. The Fiend has been kept off television since that incident while Alexa Bliss is keeping the storyline going mentioning that he’s coming. That should happen within the Royal Rumble 2021 event.
