The Bella Army members are elated with WWE’s announcement which confirmed Brie and Nikki Bella for the Royal Rumble 2022 match. The two veteran superstars will be competing alongside 28 female talents on January 29, 2022, for an opportunity to main-event Wrestlemania 38. This may not be a one-off return for the two Hall of Famers as they’re also cleared to compete in the ring.

Nikki Bella has an illustrious history of neck injury who also grew a brain cyst in the recent past that forced her to announce retirement, a couple of years ago. However, during an episode on the Bellas Podcast, she clearly mentioned how doctors cleared her to compete. This, in turn, fueled up speculations that her Rumble entry could eventually cause a full-time return for her.

This also makes us believe that WWE could have renegotiated their deal with the Total Bellas star in order to make the in-ring return happen. Once Nikki Bella’s retirement news broke out in 2019, TMZ gave an update saying that she remained on good terms with the company. Having a great working relationship, she stayed as the brand ambassador of the wrestling promotion.

Nikki Bella may compete in WWE beyond The Rumble

Then on Bellas Podcast, it was noted how the Bella Twins could make returns as many times as they want to indicate that they could be planning more appearances in the WWE beyond The Rumble.

“In the world of any professional sport, people always make comebacks, but what’s beautiful about WWE is that we can make comebacks as many times as we want as long as our bodies let us and doctors (let us). I’ve officially got cleared,” Nikki Bella stated. (courtesy Wrestling News).

Together, Brie and Nikki Bella competed in a WWE ring on the October 8, 2018, episode of RAW. The twins teamed up with Ronda Rousey to defeat The Riott Squad in a huge six-woman tag team match. Then at the Evolution PPV event, Nikki digested a loss to then Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey which remains the last televised match of her WWE career. As per the above comments, it’s almost certain that the popular superstar will feature more on WWE TV in the future.
