In an unfortunate set of incidents, Lana won’t be a part of WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view event. The sole survivor for Team Raw at Survivor Series was scheduled to team with RAW Women’s Champion Asuka to challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler at Sunday’s pay-per-view over the latters’ belts. But the lineup will have to change.
Last night’s RAW witnessed Lana defeating Jax in singles action. But it was after that WWE planned an injury angle for her. Jax and Baszler took her out in the middle of the ring, focusing on her arm and leg. The torturous act continued until Asuka made the save. By that time, the damage has been done.
Spoiler on Charlotte Flair’s Return At WWE TLC 2020
While the biggest opportunity was taken away from The Ravishing Russian as she was hoping to be a champion at TLC, her husband found humor on how she pinned Nia Jax on Raw. Here’s what Lana’s husband, AEW wrestler Miro fka Rusev in WWE had to offer via a tweet about the pin.
“I taught her this pin last night! We both won… CONGRATS WIFE.”

It’s needless to say that the pin was a bit of adultery but Rusev and Lana never shied away from revealing personal stuff on social media. Recently, he once again mentioned having sex inside that WrestleMania tank, five years ago.

Lana to remain out of action in WWE
Baszler later wrestled Dana Brooke in a match that Brooke won via DQ due to interference from Jax. Tom Phillips announced during that match that Lana was taken to a local hospital with “devastating injuries to her elbow and leg” from the attack by Jax and Baszler earlier in the show. So it was confirmed that she won’t be able to compete at TLC.
Now that WWE pulled her from her scheduled match at TLC, it seems her recent push has also come to a sudden end. According to PW Insider, Lana is expected to be absent from television for the next several weeks. Currently, the timeframe appears to be three to four weeks. It was not revealed by the source, on why she is set to be off TV.
The talk coming out of Raw suggests that Lana was already expected to go into a hiatus for the next several weeks. The attack from Nia Jax was obviously not noted as a legit injury. For now, Asuka will need to find a new partner at WWE TLC on December 20th. The name of who will replace the absentee is also unknown at this point. Perhaps, WWE is willing to bring back a bigger name for a surprise.
