Samoa Joe has currently been working as a Commentator on Monday Night RAW. He has been out of action over the past few months due to a concussion he suffered while filming a RAW commercial, earlier this year.
His head reportedly suffered yet another concussion prior to that shoot, during a match. On both occasions, he landed hard on his head which was the reason that WWE medical personnel disqualified him from getting into action.
But It seems like Samoa Joe will soon be returning to the WWE ring soon. MVP recently spoke with Phillip Martinez of Newsweek to reveal that his former TNA colleague is coming back to action, soon.

Samoa Joe Returning To Action, Soon
MVP made the hint when getting asked who he’d like to work with on the RAW brand. He revealed to share a great rapport with the Samoan Submission Machine since the TNA days. But they’ve never faced each other.
“There’s always someone,” MVP answered. “I was talking recently with Aleister Black and his talent has impressed me. He’s a guy that impresses me in the ring and out of the ring and in the locker room. He’s got that old-school mentality emerging as a locker room leader in his own right and he’s gifted.
“What I understand, ol’ Samoa Joe is gonna be back in action and over the years Samoa Joe and I have been great friends, but we’ve never ever faced each other. At this stage of my career, I think I feel a lot more confident facing him, knowing that I got Bobby and Shelton backing me up—but I also know that wouldn’t phase Joe in the least. There’s a number of guys that are coming along and that I’m looking forward to having an opportunity to work with in some capacity.”
Randy Orton Vs Drew McIntyre: Major Spoiler On WWE Summerslam Finish
WWE has also hinted about Samoa Joe returning to the ring on Monday Night RAW for the past few weeks. He has got into an altercation with Seth Rollins as the latter was building a feud with Dominik Mysterio for SummerSlam.
Joe also intended to go into a physical capacity, on the spot. But then Byron Saxton reminded him that he’s not medically cleared to compete in a ring. It seems that it was just a trial before his original comeback happens.
Samoa Joe last wrestled on TV during the February 10 RAW episode, where he teamed with Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders to digest a loss to the team of Seth Rollins, AOP, and Murphy.
Joe previously spent several weeks on the shelf in late 2019 due to a broken thumb who returned to the ring in late December. He then suffered the above-mentioned head concussion while doing a high-flying dive on the January 27 RAW episode.
Samoa Joe was then back to action for one week and then suffered a second concussion during the RAW commercial shoot in early February. He was also tested positive to violate the WWE Wellness Policy and was suspended for 30 days. WWE brought him back on the RAW announce team in late April following WrestleMania 36.
