Saraya shocked the professional wrestling world when she made her AEW debut at Dynamite Grand Slam special episode. For months now, WWE Universe was waiting to see the then Paige back on TV despite her release from the contract. But it appears that she had chosen a different wrestling promotion after WWE let her go.
Saraya confronted Dr. Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter on her opening night in AEW and thereby started a rivalry with them. This marked the first time that the first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion had appeared on a major TV show since her WWE contract expired.
Moving forward, the UK native also got physical for the first time in a wrestling ring since 2017 on the October 5th edition of AEW Dynamite. Things got physical between Britt Baker and the latest import in AEW as the two women brawled in the ring. That could have only happened as the latter was allowed to wrestle, again.

Following that segment, was later reported by outlets that Saraya was finally cleared to compete in a ring by AEW Dr. Sampson. However, given her medical history, a fan on Twitter expressed concern over the former WWE star returning to the ring. He even proceeded to accuse Dr. Michael Sampson of making “numerous unethical decisions” in the past,
“Paige has been cleared by AEW DR Sampson. I hope it goes well But keep in mind, Paige wasnt cleared by 15 drs who evaluated her neck beforehand Sampson has been accused of numerous unethical decisions Hmm just seems fishy to me Ngl Im scared for Paige Just saying.”
Saraya claims Dr. Sampson of AEW is a life-saver
Saraya Bevis-Knight was quick to support the AEW doctor by tweeting WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler’s tweet where he thanked the doctor for saving his life. Besides, she also issued the following statement,
“I’ll bite on this because… Bro. You just straight up lying for clicks. Tf. 15 drs?!?! I learn something new about myself everyday on here. Insane. Hahahaha also you’re getting your Drs mixed up because Dr Sampson saves lives.”

Dr. Sampson is currently under employment with the AEW promotion and stays as the ringside doctor for AEW. Previously he worked in the same role for WWE and during his tenure, he saved Jerry Lawler’s life after the latter suffered a heart attack live on Raw in 2012.
In the meantime, Saraya has previously declared uncertainties over her neck strength in the recent past. This is also the reason that she took her time before finally getting physical inside the squared circle. We can only hope that she’s 100% recovered from her previous neck concussion before returning to the ring, full-time.
