The stale women’s division of AEW received a new boost in September of 2022 when Saraya fka Paige in WWE arrived at the scene. After long speculations about her future after exiting the WWE, she finally made her AEW debut at Dynamite: Grand Slam episode in Queens, New York, sending the pro-wrestling industry into a frenzy.

Hailed as one of the trailblazers of the professional wrestling circuit, Saraya already accomplished a lot in WWE during her time there before arriving at the AEW. The departure wouldn’t happen if the company would want to renew her contract. But it eventually paved the way for her to come to AEW and enjoy some fresh booking options now that she’s medically cleared to wrestle.

It’s pretty obvious that Saraya is more than happy to be on the AEW roster where she can spend good times with her colleagues, especially with former WWE show host Renee Paquette. That being said, she has recently revealed her first choice from a career perspective other than being a professional wrestler.

While speaking on the RJ City on Hey! (EW), the Glampire Queen was asked about what she wanted to become if she was not a professional wrestler. It was revealed that she wanted to be a zoologist since she doesn’t like a ton of people,

“Animals are just a lot better than people. I don’t like a lot of people. My first goal was to become a zoologist.”

Saraya had a similarity with musician Adele

It was during the same interview that Saraya also pointed out a similarity between herself and Adele. Prior to getting cleared for action by AEW’s Dr. Sampson, she paid a visit to a local California doctor, who had treated numerous athletes, actors, and celebrities, including the Grammy award-winning musical artist, Adele. Also, the musician hails from the Tottenham district of London, UK while the former Paige belongs to Norwich, England.

The 30-year-old superstar was unable to wrestle in a ring after participating in a Six-Woman Match at a WWE MSG live event on December 26, 2017. On that night, Saraya suffered a severe neck injury leading her to retire from in-ring competition.

But for the past couple of years, the anti-diva was hoping to follow in the footsteps of WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Bryan Danielson to make an in-ring return from the next injury. Eventually, that happened at AEW Full Gear 2022 in November where Saraya defeated Britt Baker in a singles contest.
