Saraya had become one of the most popular female Superstars by the name of Paige during her time with the WWE. She received perhaps the most impactful debut of all time in the women’s division history by winning the WWE Divas Championship from the then longest-reigning title-holder in AJ Lee.
Good time for her didn’t last long for Saraya during her WWE tenure, as she got into the bad books of Vince McMahon’s company, down the road. Injuries, wellness policy violations, a toxic relationship, a private media leak, and addictions led her to the worst phase of her personal life. But through all of these, WWE stood by her and dragged her back onto their TV.

Saraya reveals how WWE helped her from getting over addiction
Replying to him, Saraya mentioned that WWE was a big part of letting her dodge the obstacle and this is also the reason why she doesn’t want to go badmouth about her former employer,
“I never want to talk bad about WWE because they helped me so much throughout my career even when I was going through drugs and alcohol, they got me therapist and stuff like that. Whenever I wanted he would drop what he did, and then he would get me a therapist for my area where I was living so WWE always helped me in that capacity and stuff you know, and I love my time with them, I really did, I loved it, you know, I don’t have a bad thing to say about them.” (quotes courtesy Ringside News)
Not many former superstars had this kind of special treatment in the WWE but Saraya was always a special talent and the company took all the steps to bring her back to wrestling capacity. There was a point when she was out of action for the aforementioned reasons for over a year but she ultimately made a return on Raw in November 2017.
After coming to the AEW, Saraya was cleared to wrestle. Her first match in nearly five years was announced to be against Dr. Britt Baker at AEW Full Gear 2022 edition.
