Sasha Banks could return sooner than later to change the championship scenario. On this past episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we have seen the crowning of a new number-one contender for the women’s title held by Bayley. Nikki Cross is the one to capture the spot who is also now officially added to the Clash Of Champions 2020 match card
As announced on SmackDown, Cross vs Bayley will go down at the pay-per-view event where each of the championships will be on the line but Sasha Banks still has a score to settle with her former buddy. Hence, we wonder whether the match lineup could still be updated into a triple threat or somewhat else.

Sasha Banks Advertised To Return On This Week’s WWE Smackdown
FOX has been airing commercials for this week’s episode of SmackDown. They are now promoting that Sasha Banks will be present on the show. It was also noted during the vignettes that fans will hear what The Legit Boss has to offer about Bayley’s heinous attack that eventually landed her into a hospital.
On September 4th edition of SmackDown, we saw Sasha Banks and Bayley getting their WWE Payback rematch from new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. Jax hit a double crossbody on both her opponents to retain the titles in a match where Banks suffered a serious leg injury. As the medics arrived to check her up, Bayley snapped and pounced on her.
Bayley went on to destroy Sasha Banks at ringside, first targeting at the injured legs and then sending her into the barrier and the steel ring steps. She used the steps on her hurt leg. She then wrapped a steel chair around her neck and leaped off the top to stomp on it. A seemingly hurt Banks was rushed to a local medical facility.
Ronda Rousey Spotted Training; WWE Return Imminent?
The SmackDown Women’s Champion had time on the microphone where she gloated about destroying her former best friend. It appears that Sasha Banks will have her turn next week to respond to the self-proclaimed Golden Role Model.
It should be noted that WWE hasn’t officially announced the return of Sasha Banks on the blue brand. Certainly, her comeback could add interesting dimensions to the title match at Clash of Champions 2020. Initially, it was supposed that Nikki Cross will have a one-off feud with Bayley until the September 27th PPV but that may not be the case.
