Just a few hours later, Sasha Banks is expected to make her first wrestling show appearance after more than eight months. This should happen in Japan in the country’s largest wrestling show of the year, namely Wrestle Kingdom 17. This will happen after the veteran female superstar walked out of the WWE back in May 2022 over disagreements with WWE Officials due to creative disputes.
As per the updates from sources and social media, Sasha Banks left early for her trip to Japan. Arriving on December 21, she is gearing up for his first non-WWE appearance in over a decade but the good thing is that she won’t be alone for this trip. The woman who was her partner in the reported walkout back in May will also be accompanying her when Japan show airs.

It was noted by PWInsider that Sasha Banks’ former tag team partner Trinity “Naomi” Fatu will also be in Japan. The report stated that their sources in New Japan, “would not confirm they are bringing Naomi in and intimated she was coming of her own accord.”
Sasha Banks and Naomi may continue to work together
That being said, it will be an exceptional occasion on January 4 in Japan where two former top superstars cum former female champions of the WWE will be appearing, together at Wrestle Kingdom. Naomi has mostly been seen with Sasha Banks, together during her public appearances since her WWE departure. The next one may not be any different.
It’s previously been reported by multiple sources that Sasha Banks will make her debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling at the company’s largest event: Wrestle Kingdom 17 set at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. A series of dates have been agreed upon between both parties via a deal that was finalized in November, including one date with NJPW’s sister company, STARDOM, in April for their All-Star Grand Queendom event.
Prior to that in September, Naomi and Sasha Banks walked the runway during New York Fashion Week. The duo was then seen at the C2E2 convention event in August, signing autographs and taking photographs in a meet-and-greet session. We have to wait to see to learn whether the combined appearance continues even in Japan.
