The duo then WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were unhappy with their booking and walked out of TV at a point when they were already booked to compete in the main event match of that particular red brand episode.
Previous reports have claimed that Sasha Banks and WWE have come to terms that she will not wrestle again until 2023 as part of her release. Fans did expect her to come back to WWE but that’s not happening as she wants to explore outside opportunities and expand her own brand in 2023.

Now, it has also been confirmed that Sasha Banks has verbally agreed to a new deal with NJPW. Sawa recently tweeted that the top wrestler will be in Japan in the middle of this week so that Japanese brands contact her about potential collaborations,
“Sasha Banks, a female top wrestler who has surpassed 5.6 million Instagram followers and is active in the American professional wrestling organization WWE, will be staying in Japan from the middle of this week.
Hope to collaborate with Japanese brands. If you are interested in brands or agencies, how about MTG including her on the night of 12/21 (Wednesday) or 12/23 (Friday)? I’ll be waiting.”
Also, According to PWInsider, NJPW’s sources have confirmed that the veteran female talent is currently traveling to Japan, and will spend a few weeks in the country to be a part of the lead-up to the biggest wrestling show of the year at the Tokyo Dome.
This report further assured that Sasha Banks “is expected to at least make a cameo” at Wrestle Kingdom 17. It wasn’t specified if there were plans for her to wrestle or get physical against any of the Japanese talents. One of the top matches featuring a female talent at the event will see IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI going up against Stardom legend Tam Nakano who could possibly have the former WWE Superstar in the audience.
