Charlotte Flair is perhaps the most decorated women’s champions in the history of WWE and she’d accept the fact how her illustrious rivalry with Sasha Banks helped in elevating her status. Back in 2016, these two women took forward the Women’s Revolution to the next level taking the baton from the so-called Divas. Seven title changes happened between WrestleMania and Roadblock and in every way Flair was put over by her contemporary.
It leaves The Queen with plenty of reasons to acknowledge the fact how Sasha Banks has enriched her career. While speaking to ToppsDigiCast’s WinterCon, Charlotte Flair was asked who she thinks is the greatest Superstar of the women’s division. The ten-time Women’s Champion didn’t name herself but rather mentioned that it’s Sasha Banks.
“I don’t know. Who is my GOAT for the women’s division? Well I would say each year, can they have a new GOAT? Right now, Sasha [Banks] has been the GOAT currently right now. From appearance to character work to matches, she’s absolutely killing it.” (Quotes courtesy POST Wrestling)

Sasha Banks and Charlotte have an illustrious history in WWE
Sasha Banks never ever had a successful title defense with the Raw Women’s Title and Charlotte Flair was a big reason behind that. But over on SmackDown, she has definitely been on an impressive role with the Women’s Title. Since defeating Bayley for the title at Hell in a Cell, she lived up to the GOAT shtick. Sports Illustrated also named her the top wrestler for last year.
Charlotte Flair isn’t the only one to claim that The Boss is the GOAT of the Women’s roster. Following her big announcement last week, Bianca Belair will make history with the SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at Wrestlemania 37. Inching closer to the massive bout, Belair is ready to prove everyone wrong who believes that she couldn’t beat the reigning champion.
Sasha Banks Doesn’t Want To Compete Inside WWE Hell In A Cell
While talking on Talking Smack, Belair explained to the panel why she picked Sasha Banks as her opponent instead of the RAW Women’s Champion Asuka. As per her, Sasha is indeed the Blue Print of the Women’s Division. Plus, the aspect of building a title match featuring two African-American women also played out in her decision.
“You know, choosing Asuka, you know, she is a great champion on Raw, but the choice just felt so right to pick Sasha Banks,” Belair stated with a smile. “She is ‘The Boss,’ ‘The Standard,’ and what other way to make WrestleMania even bigger. Me choosing Sasha Banks tonight and being the first two African-American women headlining WrestleMania, we just made WrestleMania bigger. It’s going to be a magical night.”
“To be going to WrestleMania and facing Sasha Banks — standing in the ring with Sasha Banks — made making that decision so real for me. I don’t know if people could tell, but I was shaking because of how excited I was … The moment isn’t just about us. It’s about everybody and what it’s going to represent.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)
