Sasha Banks has made her debut in Japan and she’s not coming back to WWE in the near future. The conflicts between the two parties continued costing a bright WWE career to be ended but now she’s found an alternative path to showcase her wrestling skills.

At the biggest Japan-based wrestling show of the year, namely NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view, former WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks made her debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling as Mercedes Mone. This happened after another former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane defeated Tam Nakano to retain the IWGP Women’s Championship.

Sasha Banks Officially Moved To WWE’s Alumni Section 1

 

The two had a confrontation before the champion was put down on the mat with a unique maneuver. Afterward, it was announced that Sasha Banks, now going by the name of ‘Mercedes Mone’, will face KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Title at Battle in the Valley on February 18.

While Sasha Banks has recently released a bunch of ‘Thank You’s on Twitter to officially end things with the WWE, the company stayed silent on this matter for the longest time. Now, they’ve silently solidified the status of the top female talent by moving her to the alumni section of their website and thereby proving that her departure from the promotion was real and that she’s done with the promotion. Interestingly, her tag team partner Naomi still remains on the active superstar list.

After her Wrestle Kingdom 17 debut, Sasha Banks is being heavily rumored to appear in AEW Saraya’s mystery tag team partner on the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite. However, she’s not confirmed to be on that show.
