It was a month after WrestleMania 36 that Becky Lynch shocked the world by announcing her pregnancy. For the first time ever in the world of professional wrestling, a female performer had that much courage to leave it all after staying on top of the division for more than a year. She eventually relinquished the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka.
Fans haven’t seen Becky Lynch compete inside a WWE ring for a long time and they knew after the big announcement why she decided to stay away from the physical capacity. However, she still made history by competing at WrestleMania 36 with a baby in her belly. She successfully retained Shayna Baszler which was her toughest defense of the title reign.

Now that she’s focused on becoming a mother, we haven’t seen her on WWE TV for months. Becky Lynch recently took to Instagram to show off a picture of her baby bump. It wasn’t any direct picture of herself. Rather it was just a shadow on the wall containing the baby bump. She posted it via Instagram story which got erased after a few hours. It’s pretty obvious that The MAN isn’t willing to come out in public until she delivers her baby.
Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch To Be WWE Wrestlemania 37 Main Event
WWE brought out a few surprises during SmackDown’s season premiere on FOX in early October. Becky Lynch was reportedly at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida but she didn’t appear on camera.
Ringside News was the source to inform that the former Raw Women’s Champion arrived, backstage while accompanying fiancée Seth Rollins for SmackDown, that week. Becky is always great to have around, even when she’s not an active Superstar.
We should note that Becky Lynch is due in December. As per the earlier reports, she’ll be coming back to action as soon as possible after delivering. We’ll have to wait and see how that comeback process goes down but it’s a certain thing that motherhood won’t be stopping her career goals in WWE.
Although an exact return date is unknown at this point, Becky Lynch stated during an interview with ESPN that she plans to return to the ring after giving birth.
“I’ll talk about the mothers in my own line of work: WWE superstars Asuka, Mickie James, and Lacey Evans. They’ve all proven that you can do both. That’s something that I’ve always preached and wanted women to have that equality. And of course, to be on the level with the male performers and be on the same level in terms of pay, in terms of treatment.
But also, this kind of goes hand in hand where a guy can go and have a kid and doesn’t have to miss a beat in his career. Unfortunately, we do. But that’s also a fortunate thing because we get to experience things that they never will, but also it just doesn’t mean that it’s got to be the end for a career in any line. And I think a lot of people have proved that, and I hope to join them.”
