Seth Rollins Expresses His Disappointment Of Vince McMahon’s Retirement

He is the biggest reason behind the success of WWE during the famous Monday Night Wars from the 90s where WWE went head to head with WCW which was another big promotion during the time. WCW started the war with a huge lead, but WWE came out the stronger of the two promotions and ultimately ended up buying their own competition.

New promotions came and gone but WWE could never be surpassed by any other professional wrestling promotion. WWE is still the best promotion in the world of professional wrestling, even though McMahon is retired from his role, we can never deny his contributions to make WWE the best promotion today.

Seth Rollins who is a former four times WWE World Champion recently spoke to BT Sport where he talked about the retirement of Vince McMahon and said that he still could not believe he is retired. He said;

“I just told him that I loved him and I’m gonna miss him. He was just a mentor to me. This business doesn’t become what it is without him. This business doesn’t become what it is without him. Anyone on Twitter who’s got an opinion about pro wrestling, and it’s global reach, just it doesn’t happen the same way without Vince.

“Maybe it happens. Maybe pro wrestling survives without somebody taking it national or a company national. Maybe it prospers as it did in the territory days in some areas. But maybe it also just goes to die like Barnum and Bailey. Eventually, that just got smaller and smaller until it was gone.

“Who knows? The point is, we owe so much to him. Without him hiring me and paying me, I don’t have a wife that I have now, and my kid, all of that. My livelihood is a lot in part to him. He’s given me the opportunity to live out my dream with what he has created. So there is just lot of respect and a lot of love that I have cultivated and a good relationship with him over the years.”
