Shane McMahon has been a part-time performer in the WWE since his return to the company in 2016. The son of the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon brought too much attention to WWE programming while beginning his second stint with the WWE and he was thus made a marquee attraction in pay-per-view events. Fans have always loved to see his daredevil stunts and high-profile matches in the WWE, over the years, anyway.

It’s safe to say that Shane McMahon has been involved in some of the most memorable matches and moments in WWE history. Most notably, he pulled off some incredible stunts such as jumping off the Hell in a Cell Steel Cage and crashing through a glass window while performing against the likes of top names like The Undertaker, Big Show, Kane, Kurt Angle, or AJ Styles.

Shane McMahon Received More Than $800,000 From WWE For Just One Match 1

As noted above, Shane McMahon was not really utilized as a full-time wrestler and he only made occasional appearances for the WWE to acquire some huge amount of paycheck to his name. As a matter of fact, he only wrestled one match in 2022 by entering the men’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant and that match has reportedly earned him a huge payday.

Shane entered the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match in the number 28 spot and lasted about 5 minutes before he was eventually eliminated by the ultimate winner of the match, Brock Lesnar.

According to a recent report by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the younger McMahon earned an insane amount of money for that solo appearance in 2022. The report revealed that Shane McMahon’s talent pay for 2022 was $827,559, a number that was also disclosed in a proxy statement of the SEC filing of WWE since he is a McMahon family member.

The number also showed that Shane made more money than some of the regular WWE roster members by competing in only one match in comparison to the superstars who had wrestled throughout the year,

“Shane McMahon’s talent pay for 2022 was $827,559, disclosed in the proxy because he’s a family member. This was already disclosed earlier this year in another filing when Vince returned to the company. Shane had 1 match in 2022, as part of the Royal Rumble match.”

Shane-O-Mac then made his return to WWE at WrestleMania 39 to compete in a match at WrestleMania 39 but he injured himself while doing a leapfrog move. Snoop Dogg had to step in and pin The Miz to save WWE from getting into trouble on live TV.
