Shane McMahon returned to WWE television, last July as the host of RAW Underground. It was a desperate try from the WWE creative to pull up the TV ratings as much as possible since the prodigal son always boosted up the viewerships, just like that. He made a full-time return and now he could be in for way more responsibilities, backstage.

Rumor: Shane McMahon To Become WWE Raw Creative Head 1

Alex McCarthy of Talk Sport recently reported that Shane McMahon is under consideration to replace Bruce Prichard as the head writer of WWE RAW. At present, Prichard has been looking over both brands with his team ever since Paul Heyman’s exit as executive director of Monday Night Raw, earlier this year. But his burden could be lessened, soon.

“One source in WWE has told me Shane is being considered to take RAW off Bruce Prichard’s hands leaving him to concentrate on SmackDown. Another layer to the story is Prichard making no secret about the fact he’d like to lighten his workload and he’s been struggling with the long hours.”

Latest Plans On WWE Draft Returning In October 2020

It seems like WWE’s entry into the ThunderDome could be calling for a big change for the red and blue brand. With the news of a potential Draft looming in, the expectation is that more surprising news could be waiting for us. But it’s certain that Shane McMahon would be part of the planning that WWE has.

Rumor: Shane McMahon To Become WWE Raw Creative Head 2

For those who don’t know, Shane McMahon has previously been in charge of giving his creative inputs to the WWE TV programming. He’s currently booking the third hour of RAW as RAW Underground. These segments brought back the interests of the fans, as of late. If the recent reports are any indications then chances are pretty high that Shane may end up introducing a new Championship for this division having a hardcore feel.

It should be noted that Shane McMahon also had a major role in booking this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match, which was highly praised by the fans. He involved himself as a performer on TV during SmackDown’s debut on FOX on last year’s October. He lost a match against Kevin Owens to leave WWE programming but it was not forever.
