AJ Styles unarguably has been one of the top-notch superstars available on the WWE roster for the past several years. Some might say that he isn’t rightly utilized for the low profile that WWE forced him to maintain for a long time. A big championship match was supposed to go down featuring him at the Crown Jewel 2023 PLE in November which wasn’t the case, either.

WWE has had plenty of star power available heading into the Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia this Saturday night and they essentially don’t feel the absence of AJ Styles who has been absent from WWE programming since September. In a kayfabe way, The Bloodline took him out of the equation and it appears that he will be back on TV sooner than later.

Is NXT’s Cora Jade WWE Main Roster-Bound Following 2023 Return?

PWInsider Elite reports that AJ Styles is currently “penciled in” to make his return to WWE TV on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. The episode scheduled from Columbus, Ohio will be the first blue brand episode following Crown Jewel 2023 and it appears there will be some sort of plans regarding the former WWE Champion’s return as he’s scheduled to feature on Smackdown, regularly.

AJ Styles was attacked by The Bloodline in early September

AJ Styles was originally set to team up with John Cena at Fastlane, but then he was taken out of commission by Solo Sikoa. This allowed LA Knight to step up and take the slot as Cena’s partner in a tag team match against The Bloodline at Fastlane. The question remains the same regarding the reason which forced the WWE to write off The Phenomenal One from TV.

Two weeks after John Cena’s WWE return, AJ Styles was removed from TV after losing a singles match to Finn Balor, after which he was attacked by both Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline. That episode showed how the victim was sent to a local hospital. Before getting written off TV, he was feuding with Sikoa and Uso. He also defeated Uso in singles action on September 8 before losing to Solo Sikoa a week later.

These interactions essentially hinted that AJ Styles could be a potential opponent for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns upon his return. But now, Roman will have to deal with LA Knight first as the two are scheduled to go one-on-one at Crown Jewel.
